ANMA Integrated Development Association (AIDA)-Don Bosco under SBI gram seva programme conducted skills training programme for five adopted villages namely Khriezephe, Diezephe, Tsithrongse, Urra and Bade.
An update from AIDA Don Bosco stated that the training was conducted for self help groups (SHG) on meat and pickle making of Khriezephe and Diezephe villages at Life Ministry Learning Centre (LMLC) on March 14, while training on mushroom cultivation was conducted in Bade village, in collaboration with Mushroom Development Foundation (MDF), Guwahati, under the skill development programme.
It stated that the trainings were carried out to provide skills to unemployed youth and women SHG members in order to ensure better livelihood opportunities.
In all, AIDA Don Bosco organised one-day training on food processing and two-day training on mushroom cultivation. It added that exposure visits for the women/ SHG members were undertaken to different learning centres in convergence with different organisations/ departments.
It stated that a total of 27 participants were taught on food quality assurance, quality control, food processing and preservation, while 50 participants were trained on construction of the mushroom house, preparation of straw, incubation/ spawning and casing soil etc.
