Advisor Kiusumew launches Sampoornata Abhiyan for Khongsa Block
DIMAPUR — Advisor for Home Guard and Civil Defence, Fire and Emergency Services and Relief and Rehabilitation, S Kiusumew Yimchunger launched the Sampoornata Abhiyan for Aspirational Block Khongsa at GHS hall Salomi, Kiphire district, on July 5.
Khongsa Block under Kiphire district is one of the 500 Aspirational blocks in the country, an update stated.
In his address, the advisor emphasised on the need for community-led participation for all developmental projects including the Sampoornata Abhiyan vision. He requested the Niti representatives to gauge the ground realities and challenges and pave the way for the block’s development.

Deputy Commissioner of Kiphire, Temsuwati Longkumer in his welcome address, briefed on the Aspirational Block programme.
On the occasion, short speeches were delivered by state young professionals Dr. Shelly Dahiya and Ngayaipam A Shimray.
The event also witnessed the participation of the public representatives from KAPO and village council chairman of Salomi, who took the opportunity to highlight the pressing issues in Khongsa Block.
Awards were presented to the best performers among nurses, AWW and ASHA workers in the block.
To solidify the commitment to the campaign, the attendees took a pledge led by DC Kiphire.
Sukanya, ABF Khongsa, chaired the programme while vote of thanks was proposed by Yithachu Thur, EAC Pungro and Nodal officer ABP.
The programme was followed by inauguration of exhibition stalls where locally made products were displayed.
