DIMAPUR — The advisor of Information and Technology and Communication, Economics and Statistics, Evaluation, H Sethrongkyu Sangtam, met the union minister of state (MOS) for Entrepreneurship Skill Development, Electronics and Technology, Rajeev Chandrasekhar, in his office in New Delhi.
An update from the IT and Communication department stated that the advisor has highlighted on the IT sector in Nagaland that is making a positive yet marginal impact on both urban and rural areas, fostering technological sustainability by leveraging all available state resources in a way.
It stated Chandrasekhar has assured all possible support from the ministry and encouraged to put all efforts to enhance the Information Technology landscape in Nagaland.
The department expressed hope that through the strategic investments, infrastructure development and skill-building initiatives, the IT sector would empower the state’s residents, drive economic growth and create new employment opportunities. It added that the collaborative approach would ensure effective and holistic development of information technology in Nagaland that would benefit all segments of society.

The advisor also met the minister of state for Minority Affairs, John Barla.
The release also stated that the advisor was optimistic to bring development in the IT sector in the state through various schemes of the centre. He believed that technology could impact the lives of both the urban and rural region and hope to achieve technological sustainability in the state.
The advisor was accompanied by the additional director of IT and Communication, Sabou Yashu, and the spokesperson of BJP Nagaland, Pintu M Ghose.
