With the declaration of the academic results in various categories, the new academic sessions for higher secondary, undergraduates and post-graduates in some institutions have already commenced their regular classes and some institutions are about to begin. It is a matter of pride for the state that the overall academic performance has leapfrogged into a drastic change over the years with a high pass percentage. Over and above, it is very encouraging to note that girls have been performing much better than their counterpart boys continuously for the last couple of years setting an example to the other states and the world that the Naga society gives equal opportunity to boys and girls without gender bias.
However, owing to the state being located in the terrain hinterland part of India and for want of development, most of the districts in the state lack good educational institutions in their hometown offering sufficient courses of their choice to pursue their desired dream careers.
