AB-PMJAY, ABDM anniversaries celebrated in Peren, Longleng

DIMAPUR — The sixth anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) and the third anniversary of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) were celebrated in Peren and Longleng on September 30 along with other districts.

At Jalukie Community Health Centre (CHC), Dr. Lanuakum, Deputy Chief Medical Officer and District Nodal Officer of AB-PMJAY/Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS), gave an overview of the AB-PMJAY and shared the number of beneficiaries registered under the empaneled hospitals in Peren district, according to an update.

TL Kiusumong Tikhir, ADC Jalukie, lauded the Health department and all stakeholders for the success of AB-PMJAY and urged citizens to take advantage of the opportunity.

He called on village and colony leaders to support the Health department’s efforts in their areas to achieve 100% coverage and awareness of the scheme.

Meanwhile, the best-performing empaneled hospital award in the district was given to Jalukie CHC. Also, to mark the occasion, an essay competition was conducted. The top three winners of the competition received cash prizes and certificates.

The District Health Society Longleng celebrated the anniversaries at the DPDB Hall.

In his speech, W Manpai Phom, DC of Longleng, discussed how the scheme has benefitted the beneficiaries and emphasised the need for day-to-day maintenance and refurbishment of the District Hospital.

He emphasised the importance of the scheme and encouraged everyone present to take advantage of the services provided under it.

During the programme, the District Hospital Longleng received the award for best performing hospital in the district, and the winners of the school-level essay competition held on September 28 were felicitated.

The first position was awarded to Chingpang, GMS Longleng block, the second position to Y Theila Phom, Bautüng Higher Secondary School, and the third position to Phengmei, GMS Shayung Longleng.

In his vote of thanks, Dr. Lipok Phom, Medical Officer and Nodal Officer for AB-PMJAY, spoke about the services availed by the beneficiaries at the district hospital, noting that 1,420 beneficiaries have utilised the scheme and 480 beneficiaries have used the CMHIS from 2018 to the present.

In Longleng, there are currently three empaneled hospitals and health units: District Hospital Longleng, Tamlu CHC, and Yongnyah PHC.
