Legislators from Phek district along with officials from the district administration, security forces, and F&CS after an interaction at the DC’s office in Phek town on April 17.

Dimapur, April 17 (EMN): The minister of Planning and Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary Affairs and minister in-charge of Phek district on Covid-19, Neiba Kronu, along with legislators Kuzholuzo Nienu and Kezhienyi Khalo visited Phek district headquarters and interact with the officials from the district administration, security forces, and Food and Civil Supplies in the office chamber of the deputy commissioner, Phek, on Friday.

Speaking at the meeting, Kronu urged the officers to jointly fight the deadly virus and strictly adhere to lockdown provisions, saying that following lockdown measures is the only way to stay safe from the pandemic. He also requested the officials to closely monitor and make good use of the essential commodities by co-ordinating with the local leaders.

Appreciating the tireless efforts of the frontline workers, Kronu, on behalf of the entire Phek district legislators, assured to extend fullest co-operation at all times and also appealed to them to co-operate with the government. He also shared about the importance of making good use of the essential commodities by co-ordinating with the local leaders and maintaining equality, justice and transparency for a healthy atmosphere within the town and neighbouring villages.

Khalo expressed his concern over the non availability and utilisation of medical facilities including PPE and other protective gears. Both the MLAs expressed gratitude to all those who are involved in the fights against Covid-19.

The team later visited the District Hospital, Phek and interacted with the staff of the facility. The visiting team assured all possible assistance to the district.
