Royal Tribals lift 3rd WDCA inter-club cricket tournament
DIMAPUR — Royal Tribals emerged champions after defeating EYL in the final of the 3rd Inter-Club Cricket Tournament played at local ground, Wokha, on Thursday.
After winning the toss, Royal Tribals elected to bat first and put up a target of 163 runs in the allotted 20 overs. In reply, EYL managed to score only 105 runs as their batsmen were bowled out in the 17.2 overs, an update stated.
Royal Tribals skipper Lijanbemo Patton who scored 78 runs was adjudged man of the match. Nchumbemo Humtsoe, who displayed consistent performance throughout the tournament, was named man of the tournament. Maverics CC was awarded the best disciplined team of the tournament.
