DIMAPUR — The first edition of the SFS Academy intra-football tournament was held at the SFS School Ground, Medziphema, on November 15.
Mhasimhalie Mathew Yhome, AFC-C Diploma, president of the Kohima District Football Association, attended the occasion as the chief guest, stated a press release.
In his speech, Yhome encouraged the students to balance their study time and hone their talents. He also urged parents to support their children in co-curricular activities.
He encouraged the students to be disciplined and dedicated in their pursuit of excellence.
SFS Academy is run by Botovi Yepthomi as the administrator, Ciu Zashümo (AFC-C, FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine), Menovilie Talie (AIFF-D) as coaches, and Chivine Kapfo as the media and publicity secretary. It was nominated as the best school in the first AFC Grassroots Day for 2023-24.
The intra-tournament was held to assess the progress of the students and encourage parents to support their children.
