DIMAPUR — The S Singnya-led NNC/FGN has expressed gratitude to the top leaders of the Working Committee/Naga national political groups (WC/NNPGs) for accepting P Puthai Lam, kilo kilonser, as the new co-convener to represent the NNC/FGN at WC/NNPGs.
It was mentioned in an update that the inclusion is in place of Zhopra Vero, following his impeachment on Oct. 22, and “non-inclusion of Zhopra Vero-led splinter group under the banner of WC/NNPGs.”
“Basing on the Working Committee, Naga National Political Groups (WC/NNPGs) resolutions/minutes of the meeting adopted on 30th October, 2024 clearly indicate that Zhopra Vero led was a self-styled group with no political future for the Nagas and no legal entity to drive monetary fund through taxes/donations/contributions,” the Singnya-led NNC/FGN stated.
It also accused the “splinter group” of trying to tarnish the good image of Brig. (Retd) S Singnya-led NNC/FGN by hiding behind the curtain and collecting taxes by way of intimidation to taxpayers in the name of the NNC/FGN government.
“The NNC/FGN, therefore, reiterates the earlier press statement to taxpayers and Naga people in general not to confuse and understand the present issue in sound mind. In matters of any financial transactions that made to splinter group without the knowledge of NNC/FGN will be doing at your own risk,” it added.
