2nd Mojabi Open Futsal Tournament kicks off in Mokokchung

MOKOKCHUNG — The 2nd edition of Mojabi Open Futsal Tournament, organised by Kupza Students’ Union Mokokchung, commenced at Mojabi Futsal Turf, Salangtem Ward in Mokokchung on Friday.

The tournament was kicked off by Imkongchuba, Chairperson of Mokokchung Municipal Council (MMC), who was the guest of honour at the event.

In his address, Imkongchuba lauded the efforts of the Kupza Students’ Union in organizing the tournament, which he described as an excellent platform for promoting sports among the youth of Mokokchung and its neighboring areas.

He expressed optimism that the event would continue to nurture local talent and contribute to the growth of futsal in Mokokchung.

The tournament has drawn 14 teams competing for the coveted title. In the opening match, Spartan delivered a dominating performance, defeating KFL with a score of 8-0.
