KOHIMA — The Dzulhami Welfare Union Kohima (DWUK) tri-community feast for 2024 took place at the NSF Solidarity Park, Kohima on November 9, with Chitsorü Vasa, Deputy Director of Rural Development, as the special guest.

In his address, Vasa highlighted the importance of three core values – sincerity, responsibility, and accountability. He explained that success in life requires a focus on responsibility (task-oriented) and accountability (result-oriented).

The programme featured greetings from Razukhrü Vasa and an exhortation by former Nagaland Minister Zachilhü Ringa Vadeo.

Valengoyi Shijo served as the event’s emcee, with Riwhüsü Ringa leading the Bible reading and prayer.

Attendees were treated to a variety of cultural performances, including a special song by Mülüsü Vasa and friends, and a traditional folk song presented by Vekütülü Ringa and Razukhrülü Shijo.

The event also included lively activities like music, entertainment, tug-of-war, meat-kicking, and a bamboo pole climbing contest.

The event, held every three years, brought together villagers and women married to other tribes, who attended in traditional attires. Küthoselü Vasa offered the vote of thanks, and Chizo Keyho offered a prayer.
