DIMAPUR — The 4th edition of Zapa Annual Badminton Tournament kicked off on Nov. 6 at Zapa Indoor stadium, Japfü Christian College, Kohima district, with Neibalie Rio, special officer to Nagaland Chief Minister, as the special guest of the inaugural ceremony.
The tournament witnessed a strong turnout of badminton enthusiasts, players, and students, an update stated.
In his address, Rio emphasised the importance of sports in fostering community spirit, promoting friendship, and healthy living.
Following the inaugural ceremony, there was a club challenge between the Zapa shuttlers and the Spikes Club.
“The Zapa Annual Badminton Tournament, now in its fourth year, has become one of the most anticipated sporting events for Japfü Christian College students and the faculty,” the update informed.
