Delegation raises infrastructure, security concerns with Ganesan
DIMAPUR — A delegation from the International Border Awareness Forum of Northeast (Seemanta Chetana Mancha Purvottar) and the Association of Nagaland Village Guard met with La. Ganesan, Governor of Nagaland, on November 4 to discuss crucial infrastructure and security concerns.
According to an update, the issue highlighted was the construction of a two-lane road with hard shoulders from Mon, connecting Longwa, Chen, Monyakshu, Pangsha, Wansoi, Aniashu, Choklangan, Tsutang, and Khongkha to Avankhu.
It stated that the project faced delays due to issues in the Kiphire-Pungro region, where villagers requested a resurvey to ensure the route aligns with the original survey order, further prolonging the project timeline.
Further, the need for enhanced salaries and allowances for Nagaland Village Guards stationed in Indo-Myanmar border areas was discussed.
It stated that the Governor recognised the critical importance of these issues, noting their impact on regional development and security, and assured the delegation of his support to advance these priorities.
