DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has decided to organise a seminar-cum-interaction programme on “Inculcating the Scientific temper as a way of life” for Class 11 Science students of Dimapur on November 14 at Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.
The programme, which would coincide with Children’s Day, was aimed at encouraging and promoting Science education in line with NEP 2020. The NEP 2020 envisions an education system centred on enquiry-based, discovery-based and activity-based learning approaches.
It informed that Pro. Shalabh, department of Statistics and dean of Academic Affairs at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur, would be the resource person of the programme.
The programme would be conducted in two sessions namely morning session at 10 am and afternoon session at 1 pm.
The schools which would attend the morning session are Government Higher Secondary School, Greenwood School, Pranab Vidyapith Higher Secondary School, SD Jain Higher Secondary School, MGM Higher Secondary School, St. Paul Higher Secondary School, and Don Bosco Higher Secondary School.
The schools which would attend the afternoon session are St. John Higher Secondary Residential School, Bethesda Higher Secondary School, St. Stephen’s Higher Secondary School, Holy Cross Higher Secondary School, Little Star Higher Secondary School and Lima Aier Higher Secondary School.
All the head of higher secondary institutions having Science stream are requested to inform all the Class 11 Science students and respective teachers to participate in the seminar-cum-interaction programme.
