Draft voter list published, over 13.3 lakh eligible voters in Nagaland
DIMAPUR — Nagaland has 13,31,555 voters, comprising 6,66,473 men, 6,65,080 women and two transgender voters across all 60 assembly constituencies, according to the draft voter list published on Tuesday.
As per the draft roll, the Electors-Population (EP) ratio of the State is 534 and Elector Gender ratio stands at 1009.
The period for filing claims and objections will be from October 29 to November 28 and special camps will be held in all the polling stations on November 8 and the 9th, November 22 and the 23rd, according to a press release from the office of the Chief Electoral Officer.
Claims and objections can be submitted to Booth Level Officers, Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AERO), or Electoral Registration Officers (ERO). Forms are available for download on the Election Commission of India (ECI) and CEO Nagaland websites. Online submissions can be made through the National Voters’ Portal (voters.eci.gov.in) or the Voter Helpline App (VHA), it said.
The draft electoral roll can be accessed on the CEO Nagaland website (https://ceo.nagaland.gov.in). The final publication of the electoral roll is scheduled for January 10, 2025.
