DIMAPUR — Assam Rifles organised ‘A Day with the Company Commander’ for students from Cornerstone Higher Secondary School in Dimapur on October 25.
The event was attended by 30 students and a teacher, aiming to strengthen the connection between the armed forces and the youth, according to a press release.
The programme commenced with a lecture, followed by a screening of the Assam Rifles movie. It also included a variety of activities and games designed to strengthen the relationship between Assam Rifles and the participating children.
Also, the Assam Rifles held a wreath-laying ceremony at Kohima War Memorial on 25 October in honour of the soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during their deployment at Naginimora while fighting with insurgents on 25 October 2000.
