DIMAPUR — The Chakhroma Youth Organisation (CYO) and Western Sumi Youth Front (WSYF) have unanimously resolved to uphold the joint resolution passed by the Chakhroma Public Organisation (CPO) and Western Sumi Hoho (WSH) on July 17, 2020, restraining its members from forming or affiliating with any other organisation without the consent of the respective parent organisations.

The resolution to this effect was taken during a coordination meeting of the two organisation on Wednesday at CPO hall in Chümoukedima.

“As youth organisations, we are committed to the growth, development and well being of our members and communities. It is paramount that we maintain unity, focus and dedication to our shared vision. This joint resolution serves to promote organisation integrity by ensuring that our members remain fully committed to the objectives of Chakhroma Youth Organisation and Western Sumi Youth Front.

We safeguard the core values and goals that unit us. Forming or affiliating with other organizations without approval can create conflicts of interest and detract from our collective efforts. The prohibition of unauthorized affiliations ensures that our focus remains undivided and that the energy of our members is channeled toward achieving our shared common goals of peace and prosperity,” the statement read.

It stated that the resolution further ensured that its members remain accountable to the structures and guidelines set forth by the apex bodies adding that all activities and affiliations should be transparent and in alignment with the vision of the parent organizations.

It reiterated that no members of CYO and WSYF should be allowed to form or affiliate with any organisation without first seeking and obtaining the written consent of their respective parent apex body.

It expressed hope that all its members would respect and uphold the resolution as a demonstration of their commitment to the growth and unity of the organisations.

“Together, we are stronger. Let us continue to work hand-in-hand focusing our vision to positively impact society and empower youth,” it added.
