Home department solicits applications for Governor’s Award

DIMAPUR — The Home department has invited applicants for recommendations for consideration of Governor’s Gold Medals and Commendation certificates on the occasion of Republic Day 2025 latest by November 30.

It stated that details of candidates recommended should be given as per the format given in Annexure-A and added that precise recommendations/ citations should not exceed more than one page.

The guidelines for recommendations are as follow:

1. Details of candidates recommended as per the Format given in Annexure-A.

2. Precise recommendations/citations should not exceed more than one page. The citations should be in a narrative form [A4 size], 6 (Six) copies of citations along with a softcopy (in word document).

3. Recommendations/ citation in respect of gazetted officers should be submitted through the concerned head of department and the administrative head of department should duly sign and forward the same to special secretary of Home department.

4. Recommendations/ citations in respect of non-gazetted staff, the head of department should sign and forward it to the special secretary of Home department.

5. In the case of Police, Home Guards, Prisons and Fire Services, the recommendations should come through their respective director generals/ head of departments to the special secretary of Home department.

6. Recommendations/ citations duly signed by the recommending authority as indicated at 3 and 4 above should forward along with the Annexure both hard and soft copy.

7. In respect of NGOs, individuals and employees working under the establishment of the deputy commissioners, the deputy commissioners should submit the recommendations to the commissioner of Nagaland, who in turn would sign and forward it to the special secretary of Home department.
