Durga Puja committees awarded at Vijaya Sammelan in Dimapur

DIMAPUR — The Vijaya Sammelan-cum-award ceremony, following the conclusion of Durga Puja festivities, was held on October 20 at Pranab Jubilee Auditorium (Bharat Sevashram Sangha), Dimapur.

Every year, this programme is conducted to encourage puja pandals in Dimapur, celebrate Durga Puja with high religious spirit, and promote cultural values, stated an update from Hindu Seva Samiti.

For this year, the award for overall maintenance, the first position was handed to Public Ground Youth Durga Puja Committee, the second position to Sarbajanin Netaji Railway Colony Durga Puja Committee, third position to Railway PWI Durga Puja Committee, followed by consolations to Hazi Park Durga Puja Committee, Hongkong Market Durga Puja Committee, and Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee, D-Colony.

There were several other award categories, including the best pratima/idol in creativity award, which was presented to Sitla Mandir Durga Puja Committee; the best pratima/idol award to Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee, Netaji Colony; the best discipline award to Sarbajanin Durga Mandir Puja Committee, Xuvihe Colony; the best decoration award to Shree Durga Mandir Trust Committee, Old Daily Market; the best religious conduct award to Nepali Basti Durga Puja Committee; the best puja ambience award to Westyard Durga Mandir Puja Committee; the best cleanliness award to 6th Mile Shree 108 Nava Durga Puja Samiti; the best debut puja 2024 award to Lotha Colony Durga Puja Committee; and a special selection award to Khermahal Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee.

The Hindu Seva Samiti expressed gratitude to all the judges for their tremendous efforts in selecting the best among the participants. They also thanked every citizen of Dimapur for their immense support in conducting Durga Puja and for their belief in the organisation.
