DIMAPUR — The 32nd Loyem Memorial Trophy 2024 on the theme ‘Football towards harmony’ kicked off on Monday at Loyem Memorial Astro Turf Ground, Tuensang, with Rajya Sabha MP, S Phangnon Konyak as the special guest.
In her address, the MP appreciated the Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS) for organising the trophy and said that sports provide a platform for youth to show their talent, and excel with discipline and dedication, a DIPR report stated.
Phangnon was accompanied by Minister for Housing and Mechanical Engineering, Bashangmongba Chang.
Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa and Tuensang District Football Association (TDFA) president, Yangdipi Sangtam also spoke on the ocassion.
Earlier, president of CWS, Pongsu delivered the welcome address.
