SCC students organise industrial visit to Changtongya

DIMAPUR — The Sociology department of Sao Chang College in Tuesang organised an industrial visit to Sutsung Enterprise in Changtongya under Mokokchung district on October 19.

An update from the college stated that a total of 31 students from the 5th semester along with four faculty participated in the visit.

It stated that Dr. Akumtoshi Longkumer, proprietor of Sutsung Enterprise, personally guided the students and faculty on an informative tour of the factory, offering insights into its operations and manufacturing processes.

During a brief formal session, Dr. Longkumer provided an overview of his work, focusing on the environmentally conscious approach adopted by Sutsung Enterprise. He emphasised the importance of sustainable practices in production and detailed how the enterprise strives to create eco-friendly products that contribute to environmental preservation.

In his address to the students, Dr. Longkumer shared words of encouragement and advised them to cultivate qualities of humility and eagerness to learn. He stressed that staying humble and being open to new knowledge are essential traits for personal and professional growth.

It further stated that the visit not only offered practical exposure to the students but also inspired them to integrate values of environmental responsibility and lifelong learning into their future endeavours.
