BCMHK hosts worship concert ‘Glory Unveiled’

KOHIMA — The music department of Chakhesang Baptist Church Ministers’ Hill Kohima (CBCMHK), held a worship concert titled ‘Glory Unveiled’ at the Capital Cultural Hall in Kohima on Saturday.

Addressing the gathering, the senior pastor CBCMHK, Rev. Dr. Vevo Phesao, shed fresh perspective on worshipping God. He said that worshiping in such a manner is a declaration that God is much involved in the efforts of men and humanity of time and space. He said that ‘God reigns forever.’

“Our worship like this is to proclaim our hope and our faith that Jesus Christ continue to rule over us. It is to offer the highest order of thanksgiving and also to surrender our cares, our priorities, even our future into the hands of God,” he said.

He added that worship of God in an age such as today would make a change.

Rev. Phesao stated that genuine worshipers can bring about transformation into the society, homes and families, churches and ministries, system of government into one’s way of life, traditions and cultures. He stated that everyone can be a worshiper.

The senior pastor further called upon the gathering to be genuine and true worshipers till the return of Jesus Christ.

The music director of CBCMH, Akhrou Veswuh, said the choir members consisted of different age groups totaling 80 choir members and nine musicians.

A total of 14 songs including contemporary Christian music, hymns, worship songs and folk fusion (gospel) were presented.

The concert concluded with a benediction said by Rev. Dr. Wepre Mero, pastor of CBCMHK.
