DIMAPUR — The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) has notified all registered schools under NBSE that PARAKH, NCERT, New Delhi has scheduled December 4 for conducting the National Achievement Survey (NAS) 2024 for classes 3, 6, and 9 nationwide.
According to a DIPR report, the state of Nagaland, along with the other states in the country, is preparing to conduct this survey on the scheduled date. The list of sample schools for NAS 2024 will be notified later after it is finalised by PARAKH.
Specifically, the survey aims to assess competencies at the end of the foundational, preparatory, middle, and secondary stages in different subjects. For Class 3, the assessment will cover Language, Mathematics, and The World Around Us.
In Class 6, the focus will be on Language, Mathematics, and The World Around Us as well. For Class 9, the survey will evaluate competencies in Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Sciences.
Schools have been instructed to direct the concerned subject teachers to develop basic concepts and application-based questions during classroom teaching to prepare students for NAS 2024.
All heads of institutions have been requested to prepare their students in classes 3, 6, and 9 for this survey. Furthermore, schools have been asked to note the survey date and to avoid scheduling any programmes or activities on December 3 and 4.
