Tetso College hosts national-level CoMFIESTA 2024

DIMAPUR — Tetso College organised its 9th edition of CoMFIESTA 2024 on Friday at its Sovima campus with the Nagaland Esports Society as its title sponsor.

An update from the college stated that the national-level fest brought together over 500 participants from various institutions across the country. The participating institutions were Dimapur Government College, St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous), City College of Arts and Commerce, Patkai Christian College (Autonomous), C-Edge College, Pranab College, Unity College, Greenwood Higher Secondary School, The Assam Kaziranga University (Jorhat), Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College (Tamil Nadu) and Tetso College.

CoMFIESTA was aimed at promoting talent and skill development among students. The activities of this year’s festival included competitions in dramatisement, business talkathon, prove the mettle! win the battle!, contrakeenos, vignette-business reels, CoMFIESTA’s got talent, BGMI and mobile legends.

It stated that the events not only provided participants with opportunities to showcase their diverse skills but also encouraged networking and collaboration among students from different backgrounds.

On the occasion, a book titled ‘Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Customs Duty,’ written by Dr. Amar Ranjan Dey, vice principal of Tetso College, was also released.

It stated that St. Joseph’s College (Autonomous) won in the dramatisement competition, while Priya Pariyar from Dimapur Government College won the best speaker (against the motion) in the business talkathon and the winners of prove the mettle! win the battle were Edirenla of St. Joseph College (Autonomous) and Lemba Cholen of St. Joseph College (Autonomous).

Ineikam of Tetso College was the winner of contrakeenos, William Sitthom from Tetso College was the winner for vignette-business reels competition and C- Edge College was the winner for CoMFIESTa’s got talent.

In the eSports category, Tetso College won in mobile legends, while Greenwood Higher Secondary School won the chicken dinner for BGMI.

The overall championship was bagged by Tetso College, while St. Joseph College (Autonomous) was the overall runners-up with Unity College was recognised for its exemplary discipline.
