DIMAPUR — The Lok Jan Shakti (Ram Vilas) party, Mon, expressed astonishment over a letter being circulated on social media since October 12.

The letter, addressed to the Governor of Nagaland, requests the withdrawal of LJP (Ram Vilas) support from the coalition government led by Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio.

In a press statement, the LJP (Ram Vilas) clarified that it had not discussed or authorised any individuals to make such a move or comment against the peaceful coalition/opposition-less government at any time.

Consequently, the LJP (Ram Vilas), Mon, along with MLAs Naiba Konyak and Dr. Sukhato A Sema, condemned any misleading propaganda intended to disrupt the peaceful coexistence of the current government.

It further stated that it anticipates the culprit will be brought to the public domain to apologise and refrain from making such comments without the authorisation of the elected members and the party’s central high command.
