Longkhum village releases tourism policy

MOKOKCHUNG — With a vision to transform Longkhum village in Mokokchung district into a premier eco-tourism destination, Longkhum tourism policy was released on Friday by C Angang Jamir, chairman of Longkhum village council.

L Alemtemsu Ao, convenor of drafting committee, informed that the policy aims to transform Longkhum into a premier eco-tourism destination in northeast India that provides sustainable economic opportunities while ensuring environmental conservation and cultural integrity.

He added that the mission of the policy was to develop and promote responsible tourism in Longkhum village, provide exceptional experience to visitors while preserving its cultural heritage, fostering community involvement, enhancing local livelihoods and protecting environment for future generations.
