PMJAY, CMHIS anniversaries celebrated in Mokokchung 

DIMAPUR — Mokokchung district celebrated the sixth anniversary of Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojna (AB-PMJAY) and second anniversary of Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) at the conference hall of Dr. Imkongliba Memorial District Hospital (IMDH) on Monday.

In his key note address, Dr. Kibangkumba, CMO Mokochung, said that the AB-PMJAY/CMHIS is the biggest insurance health scheme implemented in the country, the District Programme Management Unit, NRHM, Mokokchung, stated in an update

Takotemjen Longkumer, LDA-cum-BIS operator at CMO office, gave an overview of the AB-PMJAY, which provides health insurance coverage of upto INR 5 lakh per family per year and targets vulnerable population, including unemployed and economically weaker sections.

He also highlighted the difference in benefits of PM-JAY/CMHIS between the general category and government employee/pensioner.

During the programme, special guest S Jain presented the award for performing hospital in Mokokchung to IMDH, and also felicitated the top three winners of the essay competition.

The programme was followed by free medical health camp and distribution of free medicines.
