School Education overall champion of Mkg. inter-departmental tourney

MOKOKCHUNG — Department of School Education, Mokokchung, emerged as the overall champion of the 2nd Inter-Departmental Tournament in Mokokchung district, which concluded on Saturday at the Indoor Badminton Stadium.

The closing programme was attended by Chubayangla, retired principal of Fazl Ali College and a member of the Mokokchung District Pensioner Association, as the special guest.

In her address, Chubayangla highlighted the importance of such events in providing government employees with a break from their routine work, which in turn enhances their service to the community.

She further noted that these tournaments help bridge communication gaps between officers and subordinates, fostering better understanding and coordination among departments, ultimately benefiting the district’s citizens.

Additionally, she emphasised the need for participants to be mindful of their physical and mental well-being during such events.

Earlier in the program, a brief speech was delivered by Vesupra Kezo, Superintendent of Police, Mokokchung. Toshikaba, executive engineer of PWD (R&B), Mokokchung, and a member of the organising committee, presented the tournament report.
