DIMAPUR — Tiarenla Longkumer, co-founder of Yong’s Kitchen, a Naga restaurant in Safdarjung, Delhi, recently won the Young Restaurateur of the Year – Female (North) award at the Food Connoisseurs India Convention (FCIC) Awards 2024.

The event held at The Leela Ambience Convention Hotel, Delhi on September 11 and the 12th, featured over 2,400 competitors from across India.

Yong’s Kitchen is jointly owned by Tiarenla and her sister Yongsenla Longkumer from Nagaland.

Launched just this year, Yong’s Kitchen has already made a significant mark by serving authentic Naga cuisine in Delhi, becoming popular for its commitment to preserving and showcasing the unique flavors of Nagaland, PR manager, Yongs Kitchen, stated in an update.

“This award recognises their hard work and dedication, and it stands as a proud moment for the Northeast, as Yong’s Kitchen has effectively contributed to changing the landscape of Naga food and Northeast cuisine in general.

“We believe this is a great story of how a small initiative from Nagaland has gained recognition on a national level,” it stated.
