DIMAPUR — Runway India conducted specialised training sessions on banana fibre product making for students at Mount Mariah School and Senayangba Government Higher Secondary School in Ungma on September 3 and 4, followed by a session at Cornerstone Higher Secondary School in Zunheboto.
According to an update, the initiative aimed to empower students with practical skills in sustainable craftsmanship using banana fibre, a resource abundant in the region.
Participants engaged in hands-on activities, learning techniques to transform banana fibre into various products, thereby promoting environmental sustainability and entrepreneurial opportunities.
The training highlighted the versatility of banana fibres and emphasised the importance of traditional crafts in modern economies, the release mentioned.
