DIMAPUR — On the second day of the ongoing NECDC Senior Men’s Interstate Friendship Tournament 2024, two matches were played.

In the first match at Nagaland Cricket Stadium on Tuesday, Meghalaya won against Arunachal Pradesh by 111 runs, thanks to a brilliant century from Wallambok Nongkhlaw, who scored 105 off 110 balls, earning the player of the match award.

Meghalaya scored 312 all out in 46.2 overs. For Arunachal Pradesh, Likha Sonia took 3 wickets for 49 runs and NDR claimed 3 wickets for 54 runs. In response, Arunachal Pradesh scored 201 for 6 in 50 overs, with Techi Doria as the top scorer, scoring 89 runs off 167 balls, while Sylvester Mylliempdah took 2 wickets for 18 runs.

In the second match played at Sovima Cricket Ground, Sikkim won against Mizoram by 158 runs, with Ankur Malik stealing the spotlight by taking 6 wickets for just 18 runs, earning the player of the match award.

Sikkim scored 228 for 6 in 50 overs, with Palzor Tamang remaining not out on 53 off 46 balls and Ashish Thapa contributing 44 off 58 balls. Alfred Hmangaisang Hmar took 3 wickets for 42 runs.

In response, Mizoram was bowled out for 70 in 34 overs, with Rohan as the top scorer, making 23 runs off 38 balls.

1st Match: Nagaland vs Mizoram

2nd Match: Manipur vs Arunachal Pradesh
