NGO, health dept. conduct medical camp in Longtsung village
DIMAPUR — Impact Her Nagaland, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), in collaboration with the health department, organised a medical camp at Longtsung village under Sanis block, Wokha district, on Tuesday.
In her address, Impact Her Nagaland president, Zanbeni Yanthan said that the NGO aims to empower rural women through economic growth, healthcare and education, an update stated.
Yanthan said they took the initiative to organise the medical camp in order to provide health services to rural women as well as the local populace from Longtsung, Morakjo and Sheruechak villages.
She also expressed her gratitude to the medical department for their support in organising medical camp.
Deputy chief medical officer of Wokha, Dr. Zuchamo Patton urged the beneficiaries to take the opportunity to generate the Chief Minister’s Health Insurance card scheme.
He informed that health services such as screening of non-communicable diseases, HIV test, syphilis, malaria test, sputum collection for TB test, blood grouping, general health check up, dental check up, etc. have been made available during the medical camp.

The beneficiaries were also provided with free medicines and IEC leaflets on TB, anemia and family planning etc.
Village council chairman of Longtsung, Mathew Mozhui thanked the medical department and Impact Her Nagaland for conducting the medical camp.
The medical team consisted of senior medical officer of Sanis CHC, medical officers, staff of Longtsung HWC, DAPCU, RNTCP, MMU, NUHM and RBSK.
