DIMAPUR — The Pol-Fiesta, organised by the Political Science Association (PSA) of the department of Political Science at St. Joseph University, Chümoukedima, was held on September 18 and 19.
According to an update, the fest, themed “Igniting Minds,” included an inter-institute debate competition on “NLTP Act is the shield against the fire of alcohol” held on day 1, with eight institutions participating.
St. Joseph College, Jakhama, was awarded first place in the debate competition, while Dimapur Government College secured second place.
The guest of honour at the inaugural session was Nunese Sale, CEO of Nune’s Construction, who, in his speech, encouraged students to work hard and strive for success.
The day 2 session included class competitions on various items in line with the fest theme participated by nine classes.
The competitions held included acapella, solo instrumental pieces, movie monologues, political leader mimicry, dance battles, a treasure hunt, paintings, and writings.
The overall class champions were UG III Sem (A), under the supervision of Dr. Moameren, who lifted the trophy along with a cash prize.
