FNT issue: ENPO clarifies; says ball not in ENLU’s court
DIMAPUR — The Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO) has clarified that it always considers and upholds the Eastern Nagaland Legislators’ Union (ENLU) as an integral part of the government and hence they (the state government) must work upholding the spirit of “collective responsibility”.
“The ENPO don’t accept that the ball should be ENLU’s court,” it stated on Sunday in a rejoinder to the Eastern Mirror report titled ‘Frontier Nagaland issue: ENPO says ball in 20 MLAs’ court now’. It went on to clarify that the communiqué was issued to the churches in the nature of a ‘prayer request’, not a press release.
“Art. 75 (3) as published/mentioned should be corrected to Art. 164 (2) of the Constitution of India and not as mentioned/published,” it stated.
