Heavy rainfall in Nagaland till September 4 — IMD

DIMAPUR — Nagaland will likely experience isolated heavy rainfall during the next two days, i.e., till Sep. 4, according to a forecast issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) on Monday.

The update stated that isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura during September 2 to 4 and over Arunachal Pradesh during September 2 to 5.

A district-wise update showed that on Tuesday (September 3), heavy rainfall with thunderstorms and lightning is likely in isolated areas of Mon, Tuensang, and Kohima districts. Thunderstorms and lightning are also likely in Longleng, Zunheboto, Dimapur, Peren, Kiphire, Phek, Mokokchung, and Wokha districts.

On Wednesday (September 4), there heavy rainfall is likely over isolated places in Tuensang, Kohima and Peren districts and thunderstorms and lightning over Mon, Longleng, Zunheboto, Dimapur, Kiphire, Phek, Mokokchung and Wokha districts.
