PM SVANidhi scheme accomplishment programme on August 28
DIMAPUR — The State Urban Development Agency, Government of Nagaland, will be organising an annual event for recognising the accomplishments of PM SVANidhi scheme on August 28 at the Capital Convention Centre in Kohima at 10:30 am with the commission and secretary of Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Department, Kekhrievor Kevichusa, as the special guest.
Prime Minister Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) scheme is a centrally sponsored scheme funded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs that provides special micro-credit facility for providing affordable loan to the street vendors through financial institutions at minimal interest rate since June 2020.
In this connection, the state is organising a state annual event for recognising the accomplishments of PM SVANidhi scheme on the theme “Utkrishtataki Ore Badhte Kadam” (Celebrating achievements, inspiring excellence.”
The event will celebrate exemplary achievements under PM SVAnidhi scheme through recognition and felicitations of urban local bodies (ULB) and banks.
A DIPR report stated that the ‘Performance Recognition for Access to financial Inclusion and Street Vendors Empowerment’ (PRAISE) awards would be given to ULB and banks. It would include best performing lending bank and best performing bank branches as well as over all best performing ULBs in three categories as per class of cities.
The event would be participated by the elected councilors and administrators of ULB, district urban development officers, banks, street vendors and other officials.
