CTAN demands cancellation of special recruitment drive, requisition 329 posts to NPSC/NSSB

DIMAPUR — The Combined Technical Association of Nagaland (CTAN) has demanded the state’s Health department to cancel its “special recruitment drive” to fill in 280 posts and immediately requisition 329 posts to NPSC/NSSB, failing which it threatens to take its own course of action democratically, starting August 26.

In an update, the association stated that it will never allow the special recruitment drive, claiming that the order violates NPSC Rule 9(4), which provides for recruitment of posts falling under certain pay scale to be requisitioned to NPSC for open examination.

“It is also a violation of Article 16 under constitution of India,” read the update, adding that the Health department had also clearly mentioned during the recruitment in 2020 that all appointments were “temporary” and the appointees had “no right to claim for regularisation”.

“Therefore, this matter needs no further discussion but timely and wise decision should be taken by the concerned department for the welfare of aspirants in Nagaland and particularly the medical aspirants,” it stated

The CTAN also demanded the requisition of 329 vacant posts to NPSC/NSSB, as mentioned in a notification dated November 2, 2022. These posts included: Medical Officer- 96; Junior specialist- 41; Medical Officer, AYUSH- 21; Junior Dental Surgeon- 5; Research Scientist- 6; Audiologist-cum-Speech therapist- 1; Staff Nurse- 129; Laboratory Technician- 6; Audiology Technician- 1; ECG technician- 10; and OT technician- 13.
