District level quiz competition held in Shamator

DIMAPUR — A district-level quiz competition for elementary section under RAA 2024-25 was held at Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS) in Shamator town on August 20 with the SDO (C) of Shamator, Athrong, as the guest speaker.

The competition was organised by EBRC Shamator under Samagra Shiksha Nagaland with an aim to leverage the potential for Science, Mathematics and Technology in classroom setting and beyond the four walls of classroom, stated a DIPR report.

It stated that the guest speaker has motivated the students to excel in studies and also participate in other curricular activities.

Altogether, 10 students registered for the competition. The judges for the quiz competition were Tomukam, GT Maths; Seyielhoukho Nakhro, GT Maths; and KM Yimtsula, GT Science.

Report stated that Sholula and Tongtilum of Team B representing Government Middle School in Leangkonger village, won the first position. It added that all the participants were awarded with cash prize with certificate.
