DIMAPUR — The Angami Youth Organisation (AYO) and the NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango have reached a resolution to the standoff between the two parties over the latter’s death threat to a contractor, following a meeting mediated by the Ceasefire Monitoring Board (CFMB) held in Kohima on Tuesday.

In a joint press release issued after the meeting, the two parties outlined the agreed-upon resolutions.

The NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango has agreed to “unconditionally withdraw the imposition of capital punishment to the proprietor of M/s KKB Rülho with immediate effect,” it said.

Additionally, the group retracted its directive, ordering Angami contractors to cease operations and withdraw manpower and machinery from various districts in Nagaland.

The press release stated that the NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango also agreed to publicly disclose the identity of an individual known as “Max Naga” and initiate disciplinary action within 15 days.

In response to these commitments, the AYO agreed to withdraw its non-cooperation stance and the recall of Angami workers from the NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango.

The NSCN/GPRN (K) Khango also express regret over the ”unfortunate issue”, while the AYO reiterated its commitment to the Angami Public Organisation resolution of 1993, advocating for “One Government, One Tax”.
