The initiative, spearheaded by the institute’s Aesthetic and Cultural Clubs, saw enthusiastic participation from both student-teachers and faculty, stated an update from the institute.
It stated that a formal programme was held in the institute’s auditorium to mark the commencement of the drive, setting the tone for the day’s activities.
The participating student-teachers were divided into four groups, each assigned with a specific area for cleaning namely Porterlane, AG Colony, Mohonkhola and the institute campus.
It stated that the faculty actively involved in guiding and supporting the student-teachers throughout the drive, adding that their participation not only boosted the morale of the student-teachers but also underscored the institute’s commitment to environmental cleanliness and community service.
The institute believed that inculcating a sense of environmental responsibility among future teachers was crucial. By organising such drives, the institute aims to create awareness about the importance of a clean and healthy environment and inspire student-teachers to become agents of change in their communities.
