DIMAPUR — A Mathematics day was organised by the Nagaland Science and Technology Council (NASTC) and hosted by St. Joseph School and Akum Imlong School in Tuensang.
As part of the event, a seminar was conducted at CKS Hall, Tuensang, on August 13, themed ‘Mathematics for everyone,’ according to a press release.
Altogether, eight schools participated in the seminar, with about 120 students from different schools in attendance.
R Akila Rothrong, DDAO Tuensang, was the special invitee for the occasion. It also had Dr. T Lal Veda Chandra Kumar, associate professor, department of Economics, Sao Chang College (SCC), and Ciekrovoto Theluo, assistant professor, department of Mathematics, SCC.
The winners received certificates along with cash prizes. Participation certificates were given to all the students. Also, the teachers in charge of the participating schools were recognised with certificates for their contributions to the successful conduct of the seminar.
