KIPHIRE — Commemorating of the 64th Indian Youth Congress (IYC) foundation day, the Kiphire District Youth Congress (DYC) on Friday successfully organised a plantation drive at the office of Sakhi One Stop Centre with active participation of its members.
The initiative was carried out with great enthusiasm and a strong sense of responsibility, reflecting the spirit of community service among the youth. The DYC members worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the drive and enhancing the green cover of the area without any external financial assistance.
Likyüse Sangtam, Kiphire DCC president, has appreciated the members for their commendable effort. He also acknowledged the dedication and commitment demonstrated by the youth toward such a noble cause.
“This initiative not only reflects the spirit of service but also highlights the potential of our young leaders. In a related programme, the Dimapur District Youth Congress (DYC) also organised a plantation drive on Friday.
A short programme was held at Dimapur DCC office before the plantation drive, where speeches were delivered by L Chuba, NPCC general secretary and in charge Dimapur, and X Chophika Sumi, president of NSUI Nagaland.
R Mukhe, Dimapur DYC president, delivered the vote of thanks.
