DIMAPUR — The Confederation of Nagaland Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CNCCI) has condemned the capital punishment allegedly issued against K Rülho, proprietor of M/s KKB Rülho, by the NSCN/GPRN (Khango) group.

“The Naga National Movement belongs to every Naga and every Naga  is a stakeholder and a contributor in various capacities and issuing capital punishment due to the inability to pay the monetary demands defies all logic of Naga National movement and its goal; rather it is a smear on a noble political aspirations of the Naga people,” read the press release,

‘The Naga political groups need to understand that there are now nearly 20 factions fighting for one Naga political cause with almost all factions imposing demands which is impossible to meet for any business man,’ it added.

The CNCCI went on to extend its support to the Angami Youth Organisation (AYO), directing its confederating unit Kohima Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) to ensure that traders across Kohima district join the public rally called by AYO on August 6. It further requested all its confederating units (district chamber of commerce) to express solidarity by sending delegates to the rally.
