Tribal artisan empanelment mela held in Tseminyu
DIMAPUR — Tribal Co-operative Marketing Federation of India (TRIFED), Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, in collaboration with Tseminyu district administration, MARCOFED, NBHM, DUDA and IIE organised a Tribal Artisan Empanelment Mela (TAeM) at Tseminyu town hall on Thursday.
The SDO of Tseminyu, Kimciyile, was the special guest of the programme.
Speaking at the programme, she stated that the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has organised the mela with an aim to provide livelihood opportunities to tribal artisans by identifying and empanelling their products. She added that the government would provide training and marketing opportunities of the products through TRIFED.
Short speeches were also delivered by Abhijeet Dutta, marketing head of TRIFED RO NER, and ST Lamkhogin, deputy manager of TRIFED, Delhi.
The programme was chaired by Thehose Sangtam, nodal officer of MARCOFED, and the vote of thanks was delivered by Sapulu Krocha, senior executive of IIE.
