Government teachers trained on ECCE and FLN in Kohima
KOHIMA — A one-day training for head of government schools on Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) and Foundation Literacy and Numeracy (FLN) under L Khel Education Block Resource Centre (EBRC) was held at Dr. N Kire GHSS Seikhazou in Kohima on Thursday.
The introductory session was chaired by Vizoneilie Pienyü, coordinator of EBRC L Khel Kohima, who briefed the trainees on the importance of the training.
According to Pienyü, the training covered the following topics such as ECCE assessment, digitisation of the ECCE holistic report card (HPC) and development progress card (DRC), Nagaland Literacy and Numeracy Fest 2.0 2024, mapping of budding ECCE academy for children of Nagaland (BEACON) and presentations of activities and best practices by school heads.
The resource persons of the training were Roseline Richa, reader at SCERT; Sani Pongen, assistant engineer at DOSE; Bendang Jamir, VSK team; Zulumenla, TOT; and Assali Odyuo, TOT.
A total of 103 teachers from 35 schools with foundational stages attended the training.
Temsunaro Aier, state mission director of Samagra Shiksha, Nagaland, also visited the training and encouraged the teachers.
