After deliberation, the LKM extended the deadline to August 8, with the company assuring to avoid further inconveniences to the commuters by the new deadline, the release added.

The LKM also informed that the inspection of the road is scheduled for August 9, involving various stakeholders including the administration, Ao Senden, concerned authority engineer, the construction company and Langpangkong RCC, as directed by the deputy commissioner.

“Despite the extension, the initial letter from LKM regarding the 30th July deadline will be upheld, and any future issues causing public inconvenience due to road conditions will be reevaluated with serious consequences,” the LKM said.

It further affirmed that the commitment to maintaining the LKM jurisdiction as a ‘taxation-free zone’ remains resolute and that any individuals or group must not disrupt the ongoing work on NH-02.
