Women in Sendenyu village trained on piggery, poultry farming
DIMAPUR — A four-day training for women on improved piggery and poultry, organised by the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Services (AHVS) and sponsored by National Commission for Women (NCW), New Delhi, in Sendenyu village under Tseminyu district concluded on July 26.
An update from the Veterinary department stated that a total of 30 participants from various Self Help Groups (SHG) and individual farmers attended the training.
The resource persons of the training were Dr. Kenalo Kath, Dr. Gwathonlo Tsela, Dr. KevisenuoVizo and Dr. Benti Semy.
In the inaugural programme, Dr. BL Achila, additional director of AHVS department and sector officer for women welfare, delivered the keynote address, while short speech was also delivered by Dr. Pusazono Chusi, deputy director of AHVS department.
