KOHIMA — A three-day induction training on office procedures and official statistics for the new recruits through Nagaland Public Service Commission (NPSC) and Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) conducted by the Directorate of Economics and Statistics got underway on Wednesday.
The event was inaugurated by Neidilhou Keditsu, director of Economics and Statistics, at its conference hall. A total of 18 trainees are attending the training that would culminate on July 26.
Addressing the event, Keditsu stated that the department of Economics and Statistics is a progressive department and encouraged the newly recruited staff to work sincerely to take forward the department.
He informed that in order to familiarise and understand the activities of the department, induction training is conducted every year for the new recruits.
The director maintained that training is an effective way of learning new things and a stepping stone to success for any activities. In this regard, he encouraged the trainees to attend the training seriously so as to enhance their knowledge and capabilities, which would help in their official assignments.
Rhonthungo Andreas, under secretary of Economics and Statistic, was the resource person, while the programme was chaired by deputy director, Kezhalelhou Solo.
