Can Youth organises mental health awareness programme
DIMAPUR — Can Youth, a nonprofit organisation, organised an awareness programme on mental health and hygiene at Neisatuo Colony, Khermahal, Dimapur, attended by more than 40 children and adolescents on July 12.
The programme featured various activities led by Augustine Kachwa, a Master of Social Work (MSW) third semester intern from Bosco Institute, Jorhat, who educated the children on maintaining their mental and physical health, according to a press release.
The programme featured interactive games and creative exercises, such as writing dos and don’ts on chart paper. The campaign provided valuable information, highlighting the importance of mental health and hygiene practices among young people, it said.
The programme was assisted by Lumli Y Sangtam, a Bachelor of Social Work third semester intern from Tetso College, Dimapur, and Binod Dey, assistant project developer at Can Youth, Dimapur.
