DIMAPUR — Commemorating ‘National Science Day 2024,’ the office of the District Education Office (DEO), Kohima, in collaboration with the Department of Science and Technology, organised the Kohima district level Science seminar on Friday at its office on the theme “Indigenous technologies for Viksit Bharat.”
An update from DEO stated that a total of eight schools have actively participated in the presentation competition on the theme.
The competition was judged by Temjentoshi, graduate teacher at Mezhür Higher Secondary School, and Khriemeno Nagi, graduate teacher at Government Higher Secondary School, Jotsoma.
It stated that the first prize was won by Jandeno Patton, class 10 student of Grace Higher Secondary School, Kohima, while the second and third prizes were won by Khongya W Konyak, class 9 student of Christ King Higher Secondary School, Kohima, and Grace Sote, class 10 of GHS New Market, respectively.
The event was chaired by Neivikono, DMA project assistant, while the welcome address was delivered by Patricia Vizo, ADEO, Kohima, and briefing on the competition by Shosinle Tep, programme-in-charge at DEO, Kohima.
Report further stated that cash awards and citations were given to all the winners. It added that participation certificates and cash awards were also presented to all the student participants and teacher guides.
